How does Azent Delivery Time Slots work?
What this app does
Azent Delivery Time Slots lets customers choose a delivery date and time during shopping, then saves that selection to the order so your team can fulfill on schedule.
It works for:
Shipping
Local Delivery
Store Pickup
How it works (simple flow)
You configure delivery settings in the app
Customers select date/time on cart or checkout
The app validates availability (days, cutoff, capacity, rules)
The selected slot is saved to the order
You manage and review orders in the Orders dashboard
Step 1 — Merchant setup
In App → Settings, you define:
Delivery Dates: allowed days, lead time, cutoff time, max future days, daily capacity
Time Slots: start/end times, active days, slot capacity
Holidays: blackout dates when delivery/pickup is blocked
Delivery Methods: behavior per Shipping / Local Delivery / Store Pickup
Widget Behavior: required fields, auto-select options
UI Settings: labels and translations
Step 2 — Customer selection
On the storefront, the widget shows available dates and time slots based on your rules.
The app automatically checks:
Current store time and timezone
Lead time and cutoff time
Allowed delivery days
Slot capacity
Holidays / blackout dates
Delivery method rules
Advanced rules (if configured)
If a date or slot is not valid, customers cannot select it.
Step 3 — Order data is saved
After selection, delivery details are attached to the order and become available in your app dashboard.
You can then:
View all scheduled orders
Filter by method/date range
Edit delivery info
Add delivery info manually by Order ID
Export to CSV
Where customers and staff see delivery info
Customers can see delivery info in:
Checkout (if checkout extension is enabled)
Thank You page
Order Status page
Staff can see and manage delivery info in:
App → Orders dashboard
Shopify order notes (if enabled in General settings)
Delivery methods supported
You can configure each method separately:
Shipping
Local Delivery
Store Pickup
For each method, you can control:
Date selection on/off
Time slot selection on/off
Optional custom message shown in the widget
Plans and limits (important)
The app enforces plan limits (for example: monthly orders, number of time slots, holidays, advanced rules).
If a store reaches its monthly order limit, the widget can be disabled until the next cycle or plan upgrade.
Typical use cases
Grocery stores with same-day cutoff and evening slots
Bakeries with next-day lead time
Pickup-only stores with custom pickup windows
Multi-method stores that use different rules for shipping vs pickup
In short
Azent helps you collect accurate delivery scheduling data before fulfillment, reduce manual coordination, and keep customers informed from checkout to post-purchase pages.
If your widget is not showing or dates look wrong, check the Troubleshooting articles next.
