View, edit, and filter scheduled orders

What this article covers

This guide explains how to use the Orders page to:

  • View scheduled orders

  • Filter and sort quickly

  • Edit delivery information

Use this page for daily operations and dispatch planning.

Where to find it

Go to App -> Orders.

You will see a table with key columns:

  • Order ID

  • Order Type (Shipping / Delivery / Pickup)

  • Delivery Date

  • Delivery Time

  • Order Created

  • Actions

How to filter orders

Use the top controls to narrow results:

  • Order type tabs: All, Shipping, Delivery, Pickup

  • Date range: Last 7 / 30 / 60 days

This helps you focus on the orders your team needs right now.

How to sort orders

Click sortable column headers to sort ascending/descending.

Typical sorting use cases:

  • Sort by Delivery Date for fulfillment sequence

  • Sort by Order Created for recent activity

  • Sort by Order Type for team assignment

How to edit an order

In any row, click Edit.

You can update:

  • Order type

  • Delivery date

  • Time slot start/end

Click Save to apply changes.

Use this when a customer requests a schedule change.

What happens after editing

When saved:

  • Delivery info is updated in the app database

  • Order appears with new values in Orders table

  • Sync job is queued to keep Shopify data aligned

Best practices for daily workflow

  • Filter by date range first (start with Last 7 days)

  • Sort by Delivery Date for dispatch planning

  • Review Pickup and Delivery separately if handled by different teams

  • Apply edits immediately after customer confirmation

Common mistakes

  • Editing wrong order because filter was too broad

  • Forgetting to confirm AM/PM slot intention

  • Updating date without checking capacity/availability policy

  • Assuming edits are instant everywhere without refresh

Quick troubleshooting checklist

If edits do not appear as expected:

  1. Confirm Save completed successfully

  2. Refresh Orders page

  3. Check correct date range and order type tab

  4. Open the same order again to verify values

  5. Wait briefly for sync if Shopify view is delayed

In short

The Orders page is your operational control center:

  • Filter to find relevant orders fast

  • Sort to plan fulfillment

  • Edit schedules when customers request changes

Using this page daily improves accuracy and reduces manual tracking work.
